Snow Day

On January 20th we had a snow day. Most of you reading this may call our snow a skiff, but in North Carolina when it snows this much the world stops. Schools close, Doctor offices close, stores close. Everything shuts down. I still think it is so crazy, but it makes a fun day off for us. Of course the kids were so excited that it snowed and were dressed and ready to go out bright and early. They really enjoyed the snow even if it was just a little bit. They are kind of wimpy though. They all complained of being cold after about an hour. Which was O.K. because the snow had pretty much been trampled to death after the first 15 minutes.

I miss snow days in Mississippi. I think it is so fun to only have snow for a bit. your girls all look like so much fun. Don't ya just love how everything shuts down for half an inch? We used to laugh so hard at all the wimpy southerners. It probably saves a lot of wrecks though. Glad you guys had fun and maybe broke out some hot cocoa?

Talk about snow days. You are better than me I hate to get them dressed up to go out side, it takes to long. Of course by now in the winter they are no longer excited to see snow. The girls look so cute in there winter coats and stuff. Even in the winter that playground pays off.

The world stops running here in Columbus too. It is so frustrating to try and get anywhere because everyone drives two miles an hour. The snow is fun to have around though. Kayt gets as many snow angels in as she can too.

Hello, hello. Stac, your family is so freaking adorable. I tell my parents every time we talk how envious I am that you guys got to spend some time together. I hope it was a good vacation for you. Are you guys coming out this year for the reunion? I'd love to see you guys!

So different from the way we grew up! When we first moved back from Vegas, my kids were so wimpy. They hated the cold weather and would refuse to play outside in the winter. The next winter they had climatized though and now will go out and play in the 10 feet of snow until it gets dark!
