Christmas is tight this year!

I just got this email and I cannot stop laughing. I wanted to forward it to my whole email list, but I thought this would reach all of those whose emails I don't have. Whitney will probably die when he sees that I actually posted this on our blog, but this is something I want to remember so here you go:

My dear friends,

Somewhat embarrassing to admit, I'm not getting an annual bonus and Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below. How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads: You need four maxi pads to make a pair. Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part. The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top. Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part. Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc.

These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
* Three convenient sizes: (1.) Regular, (2.) Light and (3.) Get out the Sand Bags.

I've attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself.... Awaiting your response. It's crucial that I get the right size for each one of you.

I hope you can't stop laughing. Have a great day!

That is hilarious and I'm still laughing as I type this comment! That would be a great gift for a family member who is perhaps a bit "that time of the monthy" acting--hehehe.

SOOOO Funny! Will you be selling these at your craft show, I bet they would draw in a crowd? Congrats on the half marathon coming up, you'll do just fine. I did my first marathon (the teton dam one actually) this summer. Hey, since you are already training for the half, why don't you just keep training and we can do the dam marathon together??? I know you said that a marathon isn't in your near future but really whats 13 more miles when you're already training.

That is the greatest gag gist ever. I am excited for you to do your half marathon. I wish we lived closer so that we could run together. Good luck.

I am glad that you got a kick out of this too. I loved it. I tried to make a pair the other day but I couldn't fit into them because I have such big feet.
